To tackle this crisis, we launched the Amritsar Forum for Clean Air, bringing together healthcare professionals, government officials, environmental experts, and youth leaders to drive actionable solutions and policy change.

Key discussions focused on the role of doctors in advocacy, with Dr. P.S. Bakhshi emphasizing medical leadership and Dr. Arvind Kumar warning that air pollution spares no one, making everyone a passive smoker. The event also underscored the need for multi-sectoral collaboration to combat the growing crisis. A panel discussion featuring experts from urban planning, pollution control, and healthcare identified key pollution sources and developed science-backed mitigation strategies.

A major milestone was the signing of a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Lung Care Foundation and the District Administration, Amritsar, ensuring that efforts extend beyond discussions into long-term policy action.
