Lung Care Foundation, under its Jalandhar Forum for Clean Air initiative of DFCA, and its United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) supported initiative along with the District Administration, Jalandhar, organised a Capacity Building Workshop for 105 government officials.

The workshop focused on the health impacts of air pollution, findings from the Jalandhar community health survey, and lessons from the district-wide capacity building campaign under the Jalandhar Forum for Clean Air initiative. It also encouraged collaboration among government departments to address air pollution and protect public health.

The workshop strengthened participants’ understanding of air pollution and its health impacts. Departments expressed their commitment to organise similar awareness sessions and recommended the use of baseline and endline assessments to measure the effectiveness of future training programmes.
