Gorakhpur Forum for Clean Air conducted a session on “Effects of Air Pollution on Lungs” at MMMUT, Gorakhpur on August 7, 2025. Around 300 first-year engineering students participated.

Dr. S.K. Lath, eminent pulmonologist and Gorakhpur Forum for Clean Air Chairperson, highlighted the impact of air pollution on respiratory health, emphasizing occupational risks across engineering fields, from silicosis and COPD to asthma and lung fibrosis. He urged students to adopt leadership with responsibility, integrating public health and environmental safety into professional decisions.

The session empowered future engineers to champion clean air, workplace safety, and sustainable practices, fostering awareness, accountability, and proactive action for healthier communities.
