A capacity-building workshop was organized for MBBS students to raise awareness on the health impacts of air pollution. Chief Guest Ms. Divya Mittal (IAS), District Magistrate, highlighted that air pollution is a daily crisis requiring consistent community action. Dr. Arvind Kumar emphasized its multi-systemic health effects, including rising lung cancer in non-smokers and prenatal risks. Dr. Rajiv Khurana urged students to become “Vayu Mitras” and advocate for clean air, warning against indoor pollutants like incense and camphor. Dr. S.K. Lath, Chairperson, Gorakhpur Forum For Clean Air shared clinical insights, reinforcing the urgent need for medical advocacy in combating pollution.
