He stressed that air pollution has surpassed smoking as a major health risk, contributing to asthma, heart disease, strokes, and developmental issues. Dr. Kumar urged collective action, particularly from faith leaders, to protect air and water. He also introduced the Doctors for Clean Air & Climate Action (DFCA) initiative, calling for partnerships with spiritual and community leaders to drive sustainable environmental change.
