Lung Care Foundation and Doctors for Clean Air & Climate Action organized a General Practitioners Training on 30 December, 2025 at Hotel Konark Inn, Vijay Nagar, Indore. The session was led by Dr. Shailendra Jain and attended by 21 general practitioners. The training focused on improving clinical understanding of health risks linked to air pollution. Dr. Jain discussed the growing burden of asthma, allergies, and chronic respiratory diseases caused by polluted air, and explained how long term exposure worsens existing respiratory conditions. He also highlighted the serious impact of air pollution on pregnant women and newborns, including risks of low birth weight and premature birth. Doctors were encouraged to include air quality awareness and preventive guidance in routine patient consultations to support better long term health outcomes.
