The Global Teacher Summit, held on October 25-26, 2024, at Lovely Professional University (LPU), was jointly organized by the Jalandhar Management Association (JMA), All India Management Association (AIMA), and LPU. The event brought together over 100-150 teachers and 20-30 industrialists to discuss the evolving role of educators in a rapidly changing world. Representatives from the Lung Care Foundation (LCF), including Dr. Rajiv Khurana and Varinder Yadav, actively participated.
The summit aimed to introduce global teaching practices, enhance technological literacy, support professional development, and strengthen emotional resilience among educators. It featured keynote addresses by experts such as Mr. Md Shadan Zeb Khan, Mr. Clevas Tuscano, Prof. Dr. Dewakar Goel, and Dr. Rajiv Khurana, along with panel discussions on digital literacy, innovative teaching tools, and essential future skills. A round table discussion on skill gaps in education concluded the event.
Key outcomes included increased awareness of global teaching methodologies, stronger collaboration between educators and industry leaders, and insights into aligning education with industry needs. The summit emphasized the importance of technology-driven, adaptive teaching approaches to prepare teachers and students for future educational challenges.
