The Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Punjab, in collaboration with DFCA and UNEP supported initiative of LCF, organised a state-level IEC capacity-building workshop for 25+ District Agriculture Officers and officials.
The workshop focused on helping agriculture officials communicate the health impacts of air pollution in simple and practical ways, especially with farmers and rural communities across Punjab.
Dr. Rajiv Khurana, Founder-Trustee, Lung Care Foundation, explained how clear, local and easy-to-understand messages can help farmers better understand the connection between air pollution, health and agricultural practices.
Practical training on photography, video making, basic editing, AI tools and social media to create engaging IEC materials was also provided.
The workshop also covered storytelling, SWOT analysis and campaign planning, enabling officials to develop farmer-friendly communication and support clean air awareness initiatives across Punjab.
