Doctors for Clean Air & Climate Action (DFCA) hosted an inspiring Walkathon on Clean Air for Healthy Aging on September 7, 2025, at King George Medical University, Lucknow. Held on the International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies, the event gathered around 50 participants, including doctors, staff, and patients.
Dr. Surya Kant delivered a powerful message, explaining that air pollution accelerates premature aging and increases the risks of severe diseases like COPD, lung cancer, and cardiovascular issues. He urged participants to advocate for clean air, adopt sustainable lifestyles, reduce carbon footprints, and become “Vayu Mitras”, ambassadors for healthier, pollution-free communities. The walkathon effectively promoted awareness, engagement, and proactive action for clean air.
